Build purpose

Ashen Burst turns a controlled casting window into a fast PvE clear. It is built for players who already know the arena and can protect the chant instead of improvising in melee range.

  • Choose one magic school and make the whole loadout support its trigger.
  • Use marks or rune energy to prepare the target before the burst.
  • Keep a movement or ward tool for the boss's answer.

Priority order

The build needs enough cast protection to finish its sequence. Raw damage that never completes is lower value than a slightly slower rotation that survives a third-party interruption.

  • Prioritize casting stability, energy control, and repeatable burst.
  • Keep an area-control skill for the boss room entrance.
  • Do not spend the final defensive skill before the reward route is secure.

Run pattern

Scout the room, place the first control layer, then commit the burst when the target cannot walk out. Reset immediately after the kill rather than looting inside the loudest lane.

  • Pre-position before the pull.
  • Call the burst window so teammates can cover the approach.
  • Leave with the reward before chasing an optional container.
