Distant Ward in the hunt

A long-range defensive direction for keeping a caster or archer alive while the squad owns the front angle.

  • When the build's first failure is being forced off its range before it can complete the cast or shot.
  • Pick one primary direction before adding secondary stats.
  • Pair every priority with a weapon or skill that uses it.

Write the priority order / route timing

Use it on long-edge routes and move early whenever the enemy has a direct line to the position.

  • Eagle God Armor and Shadow Step preserve the angle without overcommitting.
  • Defensive range value disappears when the player refuses to rotate after being revealed.
  • Compare Distant Ward with the alternatives before spending a rare material.

Keep, replace, or skip

Keep Distant Ward when it makes the next route decision clearer. Replace it when another option solves the same problem with less risk, cost, or setup.

  • Open the related class, build, or map before the next hunt.
  • Test the choice on the route where it is meant to work.
  • Save the working direction in the Build Planner or field library.
