The hunt loop
Mistfall Hunter is an extraction ARPG: prepare at Windrest, enter a dangerous zone, defeat enemies, collect equipment and materials, then get out before the Gyldenmist closes the route. A successful run is not the one with the most loot in the bag; it is the one that returns value to the hub.
- Choose a class and weapon path that you can control.
- Set a small profit target before you enter.
- Leave as soon as the run has paid for its risk.
Your first ten minutes
Start with the safest nearby loot and learn the map's exits before chasing rare rewards. The goal is to learn where the pressure comes from: PvE rooms, rival hunters, the mist, and the extraction ritual.
- Open only the containers you can defend.
- Mark one extraction route before moving deeper.
- Keep healing and a mobility answer instead of filling every slot with loot.
What to protect
Gear loss is part of the hunt. Protect the item that changes your next run, not every cheap pickup. When you carry a quest item, Soul of Return, or valuable weapon, your route should become safer, not greedier.
- Use the stash and safe bag deliberately.
- Do not fight for a second room after the objective is complete.
- Review the death screen and change one decision on the next run.
