Plan three decisions
A good extraction route has an opener, a value objective, and a way home. Build it before the queue so the first unexpected fight does not decide the whole run.
- Choose the safest first landmark, not the richest one.
- Set the minimum value that makes extraction worthwhile.
- Keep a fallback exit on the opposite side of the route.
Read the map layers
Use fixed landmarks to orient yourself, then confirm the active escape layer in the match. Route markers are useful only when they reduce the number of decisions you must make under pressure.
- Mark one extraction and one reset point before pushing deeper.
- Avoid routes that cross the same contested choke point twice.
- Rotate before the mist turns a planned exit into a forced crossing.
Leave with intent
Extraction is the final part of the route, not a button pressed after the inventory is full. Secure the objective, check the approach, and leave while the team still has resources.
- Keep the carrier and the lookout together on the final rotation.
- Do not trade a completed objective for one more low-value container.
- Review the route after every death and remove one avoidable crossing.
