Start with information

PvP in an extraction hunt is a positioning problem before it is a damage check. Learn where the other team is, how many players are present, and which exit the fight will close if it becomes loud.

  • Use a marker or sound cue to identify the first angle.
  • Count players before spending a movement or ultimate tool.
  • Keep one route out of the engagement before taking the first shot.

Choose the engagement

The best opening is the one that removes an answer: a reload, revive, loot animation, cast, or split rotation. Do not start a clean fight in the centre when a side angle can make the first exchange uneven.

  • Pressure the player furthest from the team first.
  • Use cover to force the enemy to cross before committing.
  • Stop chasing when the target reaches a second squad or an unknown room.

Win the reset

A kill does not finish a PvP encounter. Heal, reload, move off the first angle, and check the reward route before opening the inventory. The team that resets first usually owns the next decision.

  • Move after a loud hit or confirmed elimination.
  • Reserve one defensive or mobility tool for the third party.
  • Extract when the value is secured instead of converting a clean win into a greedy wipe attempt.
