Make the map your teammate
Solo hunters cannot watch every angle. Use walls, elevation, doors, and short routes to remove angles before you commit to a fight.
- Fight beside cover that also leads toward an exit.
- Avoid the centre unless the objective requires it.
- Move after a loud kill because the next squad is already learning your position.
Choose the right fight
A solo fight is worth taking when it ends quickly, protects the route, or secures the objective. If it creates noise without changing your position, leave it.
- Punish reloads, revives, casts, and loot animations.
- Do not chase a target into a room with two unknown exits.
- Keep one movement or defensive tool for the third party.
Reset the run
The best solo players reset early. Heal, change elevation, and let the enemy lose the trail before returning to the objective or extraction.
- Break line of sight before opening the inventory.
- Use a fallback route when the first exit becomes watched.
- Extract as soon as the run has paid for its risk.
