Core ruleWeapon determines active skills

Weapons are the build

A weapon is not only a damage stat. Mistfall Hunter ties skills to weapon type, so changing the weapon changes the active toolkit and the way a class solves an encounter.

  • Check the required class before planning a loadout.
  • Compare the major and minor weapon modes before upgrading.
  • Build the skill bar around the weapon you will actually hold.

How to compare

Start with the encounter you want to solve: pressure, control, scouting, sustain, or burst. Then compare reach, recovery, block properties, movement, and the skills unlocked by that weapon type.

  • Use close-range weapons when the route gives you cover and reset space.
  • Use ranged weapons when the squad can hold attention away from your angle.
  • Do not evaluate a weapon without its stance and skill pairing.
