Skills follow the weapon

The equipped weapon type determines which skills can be slotted. A skill page should therefore answer two questions at once: what the skill does, and what the skill changes about the rest of the loadout.

  • Filter by weapon before copying a rotation.
  • Separate opener, control, finisher, and escape skills.
  • Check whether the skill consumes a resource or changes the next action.

Build a useful bar

A strong bar has a way in, a way to hold the target, a way to finish, and a way to survive the answer. Damage-only bars fail when the target refuses the first exchange.

  • Keep one defensive or movement option available.
  • Pair area control with a skill that benefits from a held target.
  • Test the bar in the map route where it will actually be used.
